Zenith Soares Gregório

Zenith Soares Gregório was born in Guaratiba (RJ), on September 23, 1932. Currently, the author lives in Itaboraí ( RJ); She is a widow and a housewife.

The author's hobbies include gardening, knitting and reading; now not very often. Some of his read authors were: Kahlil Gibran (all books), Lobsang Rampa (all books), Robson Pinheiro (Tambores de Angola), Huberto Rohden (from Alma para Alma), Louis Charpentier (The Templar Mysteries), Erich Von Däniken (Were the Gods Astronauts?), C.W. CERAM (Gods, Tombs and Sages), Jacqueline Susann (Yargo), among others.

Encouraged by her daughters, Rosangela Soares and Káthia Gregório — both writers —, the author began her literary career by participating in three poetic anthologies: Antologia Scortecci 40 Years Editora Scortecci), A Poetry for Every Night (Lura Editorial) and Reading on Rainy Days (Lura Editorial). The poems published in the anthologies above: O Nada, Poema da Noite and Bendita Chuva, respectively, were signed with her maiden name, Zenith Alves Soares, as a tribute to her parents. However, this work was signed with her married name.

The author only agreed to publish this book if her sons, daughters and granddaughters participated. Thus, living up to the subjective title of this work: DNA — Of Nostalgia and Love, each participating family member gave up a little of their individual talent, as a form of gratitude for the family heritage.
