Max Lucado (San Angelo, January 11, 1955) is an American evangelical writer and pastor who has published more than seventy books. Max has sold more than 70 million copies in more than twenty-eight languages worldwide.
Married to Denalyn Lucado and father of three daughters, Max and his wife worked as missionaries in Brazil before arriving in San Antonio, where they have lived since 1998. In Brazil, Max lived for five years in Rio de Janeiro as a missionary sent by his church. It was in Rio that he discovered that he liked writing.
