Francisco Leite Duarte

Francisco Leite Duarte was born in Sítio Saco Sinhazinha, a rural area in the city of Santarém (Joca Claudino), formerly the District of Uiraúna, in the hinterland of Paraíba, a very poor region hit by drought. Son of illiterate farmers, he managed, with remarkable effort and at the cost of enormous sacrifices, access to a public university, where he graduated in
Law, course in which he is a Master and PhD student. Today, he is a tax auditor at the Federal Revenue of Brazil, professor at the State University of Paraíba, jurist, writer and speaker. In addition
of legal works, such as Tax Law: Theory and Practice, published “Crimes de August”, a collection of short stories, “Decifra-me ou te devorarei”, a collection of poetic and
two novels: “Little David” and “Grandma is crazy”.
