Almir Zarfeg - also known as A. Zarfeg or simply AL - is a poet, journalist and fiction writer based in Teixeira de Freitas/BA.
He has published more than twenty books in the most diverse genres: poems, chronicles, short stories, novels, children's novels and reports.
Awarded and celebrated, the artist's name became an entry in literature dictionaries and encyclopedias, such as the "Dictionary of Contemporary Writers of Bahia" and the "Encyclopedia of Contemporary Lusophone Artists".
In 2017, he was honored by the Bahian Union of Writers (UBESC) with the title of "Personality of Cultural Importance".
In 2019, he organized the book "We - positions for sunny afternoons" for Lura Editorial,
launched during the XIX Rio International Book Biennial.
